Amazon UX Internship

Our team worked under the guidance of Deloitte to assist in the research and development of concepts related to utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to enhance the overall human capital experience. We considered how core HR functions like recruitment, training, processing, wait times, HR roles, and career paths can be affected by AI solutions.

The Brief

Deloitte asked our team to research the Human Capital experience in the federal sector, find pain points, and leverage Artificial Intelligence to create solutions for these problems. 

My Roles

We created MP3, an AI platform that drives connection within organizations, and serves as a community to engage employees to learn, grow and share knowledge within the organization.

Other things I learnt

  • Listening to your target audience will lead you in the right direction, but you can’t please everyone.

  • Testing such as cultural probes and card sorting are very beneficial, and can uncover unique insights when there is a proposed goal of testing.​

  • ​While user testing, it is important to avoid leading users - ask open ended questions!

Moving Forward

  • I want to test sooner and more often, even when the idea is not yet fully fleshed out.

  • I want to do a better job at keeping written progress throughout the project that the team can refer back to at any time.

  • I will encourage team bonding, transparency and vulnerability.
